When Skye Hauptman and Patricia Horotan founded BlueMatrix in 1999, research publishing was tedious, manual, and fragile. The internet was just finding its footing - and they saw exactly what it could become.
They built BlueMatrix on one clear ambition: define the industry standard for investment research publishing. Twenty-seven years on, that's precisely what it is. Patricia Horotan remains the company's founder and strategic driver, focused on navigating an AI-driven future. In 2024, Thoma Bravo, one of the world's foremost private equity firms, made a strategic investment to fuel the next chapter. And in 2026, David Nable joined as CEO to lead BlueMatrix's continued growth.
Along the way, strategic acquisitions - including Street Context, Ranos, and RMS Partners - have expanded BlueMatrix's capabilities and deepened its reach across the investment research ecosystem.
The result is the infrastructure that connects leading asset and wealth managers with over 1,000 research firms in more than 50 countries, and serves internal teams at multinational corporations around the world.
