A vision brought to life
Skye Hauptman and Patricia Horotan revolutionized the industry when they founded BlueMatrix in 1999. The internet was in its infancy; websites were few and far between; and research publishing was a tedious, manual, and risky process.
The team recognized the web for what it would become—a centralized location for the processing and exchange of information—and how it could be applied to change the way investment research professionals publish insights. Their vision: create the industry standard for research publishing.
More than 20 years later, Patricia Horotan is still at the helm and the company has grown into the gold standard and leading technology ecosystem for the investment research space. We connect the world’s leading asset and wealth managers with nearly 1,000 research firms in more than 50 countries, in addition to serving internal teams across multi-national corporations.
In 2023 BlueMatrix saw a strategic investment from Thoma Bravo, one of the world's leading private equity investment firms. The partnership is a testament to what we've built and will enable us to drive continued innovation to better serve our global clients as we enter this new phase of growth.

Donald Prodehl
Chief Technology Officer
Don has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, having successfully launched a range of SaaS cloud-based initiatives, including digital workplace and learning platforms, ERP/CRM systems, crowdfunding solutions, and event management tools.Before joining BlueMatrix, Don led the Technology and Product Management teams at Igloo, EVERFI, Avectra, and CVENT. He holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as an MBA in Finance. Originally from the Midwest, Don now resides in Arnold, MD.
Bryan North-Clauss
Chief Revenue Officer
Bryan leads our revenue organization, including the business development, client relationship management and marketing teams. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Revenue Officer at Truv, after leading AlphaSense's financial services sales division, where he contributed to scaling ARR. Earlier in his career, Bryan held senior roles in Fixed Income Sales at top-tier investment banks such as Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Citi, and Lehman Brothers. His career began as a founding member of JobDirect.com, a software firm which was acquired by Korn/Ferry. Bryan earned his MBA from Duke University and his BA from Connecticut College.
Ben McFadden
Chief Financial Officer
Ben brings more than 15 years of enterprise software strategic finance expertise. He was previously Head of Finance at Nintex, a global automation software leader, and Revalize, a quote-to-cash provider for manufacturing. His prior experience includes five years as a sell-side equity research analyst at Keybanc Capital Markets focused on infrastructure software. He has a bachelors degree from Saint Louis University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) member since 2010
Kristen Shaheen
Chief Legal Officer
Kristen leads the Legal and Security functions at BlueMatrix and is responsible for global legal strategy and governance across the organization. She brings over 14 years of enterprise SaaS experience as an accomplished Chief Legal Officer, managing legal, compliance, privacy, regulatory, and contractual requirements vital to business operations. Prior to going in-house, Kristen spent more than 16 years in private practice as a litigator in New York. She holds both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University and is certified as an Information Privacy Professional for Europe and the United States.
Brittany Miller
Head of Human Resources
Leading the Human Resources functions at BlueMatrix, Brittany is responsible for the people management and the department operations to support the organization current policies, and procedures, as well as future initiatives and administration. Brittany joined BlueMatrix with a vast portfolio of experience in HR leadership including fortune 500 companies to start-ups within hospitality, retail, property management, and most recently healthcare. She also holds a Master of Human Resources and Employment Relations from Pennsylvania State University.
