BlueMatrix was founded in 1999 by technologists Patricia Horotan and Skye Haupman and has grown into the world’s largest independent investment research provider, offering what we believe to be an unmatched range of applications.

Patricia and Skye co-founded BlueMatrix in 1999, and have overseen expansion to its present position as one of the world’s largest investment research distributors. Their aim remains ensuring BlueMatrix is client-centred and able to adapt to investment consumers seeking an efficient and streamlined service.
Prior to founding BlueMatrix, Skye and Patricia worked in technology development positions at CIBC, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Millennium Partners and UBS. Skye is based in London, overseeing BlueMatrix’s European operations. Patricia is based in New York, overseeing US and global operations.
Ana leads our team ensuring BlueMatrix systems correspond closely to the evolving needs of our clients. She joined the company in 2002 as the first BlueMatrix support specialist. Since then she has taken a leading role in developing our stylesheet support and company-specific templates for investment research authoring and consumption. She works with individual clients to ensure BlueMatrix solutions are tailored to their particular needs.
Overseeing the expansion of the BlueMatrix business, Simon has helped roll out a series of research authoring solutions, including our BlueMatrix Research Manager, a solution enabling buyside to track, control and value research consumption under the terms of the European Union’s MiFID II. In a career spanning more than 30 years experience in the financial services industry, he has run emerging market equity sales desks at both ING and UBS, was an independent director of several international funds at Polygon Global Partners and Principal at Lusight Research. Simon holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Marketing from the UK’s Durham Business School, and a BA from Durham University.
Tara heads the Account Management team, overseeing relationships with our growing number of clients across the world. She joined BlueMatrix in 2002 as our first account manager, and since then has been at the centre of developing client relationship management procedures. Tara has a BSc in Communication and Media from Penn State University. She also provides expertise to the Children’s Heart Foundation.
Ken leads the BlueMatrix technology team focussing on infrastructure and development. He has 27 years experience in the financial technology industry, including work at Citibank, IBM, Charles Schwab, Goldman Sachs and the NYSE. Ken has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine.
